# ForthClear Marketplace

> ForthClear is a B2B wholesale marketplace connecting buyers with sellers of surplus, overstock, and returned inventory at bulk discount prices. ForthClear is operated by Forthcast, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company. The seller sells the goods. ForthClear runs the marketplace. Stripe processes the payment.

## About
ForthClear enables efficient liquidation of excess inventory through:
- Quote request and negotiation system
- Card payments via Stripe Connect: the card is charged at checkout. The seller is paid when the 3-day inspection window ends after the buyer marks the order received. An established seller is also paid 14 days after shipment if the buyer never marks the order received. A newer seller is not paid on that 14-day clock
- Per-listing bulk pricing tiers where the seller has set them
- Platform fee: 5% of the goods subtotal, deducted from the seller payout. Shipping is excluded. Buyers pay no platform fee. Stripe's card-processing fees are borne by ForthClear
